This series began with pictures taken on our daily forest walks. The intention then, as now, was to brighten the day for those confined indoors during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the UK, the rules on outdoor activities have been relaxed, letting people travel away from home for exercise. Such freedom is not yet global, and may be withdrawn in the UK if cases of infection rise again. So, I’ll continue to post a daily picture, still taken outdoors, but they may now be of other places, to inject some variety.
If you find pleasure in this, please share it, so others can enjoy it, too. Thank you.
Sitting here and looking out of my window I completely understand where the feeling of peacefulness within walking through the woods comes from.
Stay safe & have a wonderful day

It’s certainly a great place for spiritual renewal and lifting, restless-roots. We often walk for good distances without seeing another person, which is the way we like it! So serene, we often feel like the last people on the planet.

That dappled sunlight is so pretty and restful.

I loved the way the beam of sunlight alighted on just this one part of one tree, almost acting as a spotlight for a star on the stage!
