So many tourist feet step
on the coast at St Tropez
so few eyes rest on the
faded walls of its Citadelle
captured instead by
possible sights of
those strange beings
called celebrities

    1. Exactly, Lynette. Is, perhaps, some of their ‘attraction’ due to a hope of emulation? They get attention, and that’s something a lot of people seem to need.

    1. I’d have great difficulty identifying almost any celebrity, as they rarely feature in my consciousness, Brenda. I’m conscious only of a small number who actually use their status for the common good, but I doubt I’d know them if I encountered them.
