Spreading a bit of light and pleasure to those confined by the current crisis. See post 1, here, for an explanation.
This is the 21st post.
Our walk today was a little shorter than usual; neither of us felt strong (we’re both subject to the attacks the years pile up – but rather that than the alternative!)
So, we did what we call our ‘constitutional’ walk, which consists of an elongated figure of 8, taking us on varied paths. However, at the point where we should’ve returned more or less directly home, we chose a different route. The two pictures here were taken on that final stretch of the route. The pines against the blue sky are on the edge of a section of the forest that was cleared of timber a couple of years ago and now awaits replanting. The second shot, descending the hill, displays the sudden greening of the hardwoods. Enjoy!
Tall and stark you stand
rising high into the blue
spring sighs its coming
Keep safe and well, everyone!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. It’ll help others enjoy this bit of nature if you could spread the word with the ‘share’ buttons below. Let’s all do what we can for each other during this testing and trying time, please. Thank you.
