Yet Another iMac Fail!

Regular readers will know I’ve been having serious problems with my Mac recently. I hoped it had been fixed (at great expense!). But another update was needed this morning and it has failed and set the machine on a downward spiral to utter uselessness, again! There is clearly something wrong with the update system, either on my machine or at Apple. Anyway, the outcome is that I’m unable to use my computer yet again. This time, I think the 5 year old machine is for the chop and I’ll invest instead in a Windows PC. The Mac is proving too expensive and unreliable to continue to use.

So, sorry, folks. No Word post this week. I don’t know when I’ll be back up and running again, so please be patient. At present, my wife has lent me her laptop to keep up to date, but I have no access to my many resources, so I won’t be posting to the website until I’m fully up and running again.

What a bummer! I have always used Windows, mainly because corporations that I worked for used Windows. I have 3 computers – Dell, Hewlett Packard, and a Toshiba. The Toshiba is 8 years old and the best experience out of the three. Good luck!

Thanks, Eugenia. I’ve been doing some research prior to purchase, and I’ll be taking advice from the shop where I tame my Mac for part exchange. I’ll see what I come up with. I’ve previously used Windows machines, but I wanted to try a Mac. It was okay whilst it worked, but once it gave trouble, it was just too expensive to continue with!

It’s the post you’re’liking’, Caron, rather than the issue, so not a problem. I just hope next week resolves the whole thing with a new PC installed.
