Books, writing, reading and words. I love them; do you?

Progress on the WIP: #SciFi in the Making.

GMQuestion

The 1st and 2nd books are published. What will the 3rd look like?

The rewrite is now under way and progressing pretty well considering…

‘Considering what?’ I hear you cry.

In answer, I’ll simply direct you to a previous post here. Added to what’s in that post, my Mac continues to play silly buggers for reasons I’m at a loss to determine. I’ve looked at the ‘help’ and ‘forum’ sites, but the system’s occasional stubborn descent into rebellion remains. It hangs from random time to random time for periods from a few seconds to 15 minutes. I’ve tried everything I know, but to no avail. The old ‘switch it off and back on again’, advice does seem to solve the issue for up to an hour, though!

Still, we struggle on. And the current aspect of the work involves paper and pens, so the computer can throw its tantrums without affecting that progress. Having sorted the timing issues by rearranging the chapters, I’m now fixing the dates and periods of events as I come across them, so that the action matches the new timeline. Once I’ve completed that exercise, I can get down to the more detailed work.

I’ll keep you informed of progress.

But if you’d like to see the results of this type of exercise, by all means read any of my books (details are in the side panel and on the ‘Books and Other Published Work’ page). If you do, I’d appreciate a review: a few words, posted to the site where you bought the book and, if at all possible, to Goodreads and Amazon. Reviews are the best means of getting books noticed in a seriously overcrowded marketplace. But please don’t feel obliged. Thank you.
