#Words and #PictureOfTheDay: 10/Feb/22

Day’s end or night’s beginning
depends on what’s been done
or what’s intended I suppose

A warm summer’s day comes
to a close softly lit by a moon
full of the promise of pleasure

Gently the evening waves
settle to ripple a surface of calm
sharing colours of dusk with a

Sky yet blue as a summer day
sets an evening gull in flight
through shades of imagination.

    1. The bird was pure luck, combined with the quick reactions of a lifelong photographer and a one-time boxer, Brenda. I spotted it entering the frame and clicked the shutter as it reached the spot I wanted it to occupy. One shot only of this, but a lot of others taken on the same evening walk.

    1. Thanks, Noelle. I love the way the sky gradually changes at the end and the beginning of each day. Of course, I’m rarely up and about at dawn these days! But dusk is so attractive.
