Pictures for your entertainment, joy, and, if you like, to inspire you to create something with words or images. Whether that’s a poem, story, play, novel, memory, essay, painting, drawing, sculpture, or another photograph is up to you. But please don’t feel obliged: you can simply enjoy the pictures. I’ve deliberately left the image untitled to avoid directing anyone. But, if you feel the need to know, the original with its title is here on my Picfair site.
If you use the pictorial prompt, I’d love to know. You’re welcome to post a link to your work in the comments section, or the work itself, if you wish. If you use my image in your own work, please credit me in the form of a link to this post. That way, more people will see both our creations.
The idea here is to have fun and get our work known as widely as possible.
From time to time, I’ll include something I’ve written, inspired by the image.
Rock
You perceive a lump
carved eroded defeated
but I know eons
If you want to see more of my pictures, you’ll find some in my Gallery and more beyond.
What a tale this would tell! It was once soft and was bombarded and then hardened, sort of like the lives of many people.

Yes, Brenda, probably began life as organically charged mud until nature subjected it to enormous pressure to form it into rock so it could lie for eons under the ground and then emerge onto the beach when washed down by the rain many millions of years after it was first made.

Washed by the restless sea on a beach in southern England, Lynette, under the Jurassic Coast. Thanks for your kind comment.
