The contrasting colors of the pot and the rock wall behind it make this picture interesting. The flawed lines on the pot also give it character. Thanks for posting.

Thank you, Brenda. These large earthenware pots are quite common on the Greek islands and come from a very long tradition of pot-making. But it’s relatively rare to find them in a location that provides a good picture opportunity.

These are made by hand on the Greek islands. Most of the islands have their ceramics works, and potters are skilled there. This is a pretty large piece. The slight irregularities make it more attractive, I agree, Joni.

Yes I love how they centered that little flaw, making it as you said, more attractive. I love how it was hanging outside the building. Just beautiful. ❤️
