Sun reflected on the quiet surface of a pool in the forest.
‘It’s your road and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.’
Rumi
For now, the daily shots from our walks in the local forest will continue here. And I’ll add another from my collection of pictures to show more of the world and its wonders. But these posts take up valuable writing time, and can be an irritation to readers who follow my posts for information about my books and writing, so I will stop them eventually.
If shared on social media, more people will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of our world, so please do that if you can. Thank you. We might also restore a bit of love and respect for nature and help slow the damage we’ve inflicted on our world.

All photographs here are my own, unless otherwise credited. More of my pictures can be found here. And a small sample of my work lives under the ‘Gallery’ tab, top of this page.
Beautiful pictures, Stuart, and welcome to the blog hop!

That first picture looks like some of the streams my Mom and I used to fish, there were several wide places in the stream and I have walked through and some fell in. Of course, I always love looking out at the waves of the ocean.

It’s the brook that eventually runs through the village where we live, Brenda, and drains the beaver enclosure, so we hope there may be fish in it in the futre, as beaver activity often results in fish populating their waterways. At present, it is a much varied stream, and just above this pool (made by natural wood fall in and close to the far rim of this pool forming a sort of dam), there is a rope swing used by some of the more adventurous loval kids.
I saw the boat on the black sands and loved the way it contrasted with the blue of the Mediterranean.

I love the quote from Rumi and today’s “water” photos. Lovely.

Yes, Lynette, the Rumi quote is apposite. And the pool pic seems peaceful. Thank you.
