‘Walking is good for the soul.’ Andy Rooney
With the daily shot from my local forest, I’m including another shot, not always entirely ‘natural’, to provide a wider view of the world and its wonders.

If you share on social media, we’ll reach more people stuck indoors due to Covid-19. And, between us, we might restore some love and respect for nature and slow down the damage we inflict on our world. Thank you.

Enjoy my pictures? You’ll find my professional gallery, here. A small selection is also under the ‘Gallery’ tab at the top of this page.
I miss hearing Andy Rooney’s POV at the end of 60 Minutes.

Is that beach in Minehead used much for swimming? It’s quite a lovely view! and yes, the forest are magical!

Oh yes, Noelle. In the warmer months, the beach at Minehead is used a lot for swimming. The town itself is quite an unusual place, with lots of winding hilly streets.

Thanks, Lynette. We do love that special part of the forest. So quiet with the moss underfoot, and the spaces between the trees allow us to walk free of paths.

Thanks, Irene. Glad the picture drew you in. That part of the forest is quite special. It has also featured in a TV series, ‘Merlin’ and one of the Star Wars films.

If you feel a warm breath on your neck, it is me longing to follow you and your wife through the trees in your private forest.

So that’s where that soft warm breeze originated, Brenda? I wondered what had caused it.

I want to climb inside that first beautiful photograph and lay on the moss covered floor. So lovely my friend. Hugs to you both. 💕❤️Joni

Soft moss underfoot, Joni. Inviting and silecing the footsteps of the forest visitor. Today, we were blessed with a brief sight of a group of four Sika Deer as they skipped gracefully across the track in front of us. Too far away for a picture, but lovely to witness.
