Today’s Pictures: 1 Feb 21

‘What’s the need of visiting far-off mountains and bogs, if a half-hour’s walk will carry me into such wildness and novelty.’     Henry David Thoreau

Begun in April 2020, when I committed to share photos of our world’s natural beauty with everyone confined indoors due to Covid-19, this project will continue until the pandemic is under some form of control. With the daily shot from my local forest walks, I’ll include another shot of the wider world, not always entirely ‘natural’, to satisfy those who love to see some water in the pictures.

If you share these posts on social media with friends and followers, we’ll reach more people. It’ll also show off our wonderful world. Who knows, between us, we might even restore some love and respect for nature and slow down the daily damage we inflict on our environment? Thank you.

If you enjoy my pictures, you’ll find many more in my professional gallery, here. A small selection is also available via the ‘Gallery’ tab at the top of this page.

    1. Yes, Noelle. Shingle beaches are not exactly kind on the feet! This one is in East Anglia, where there are a number of broad sandy beaches as alternatives, fortunately!

    1. We rarely meet anyone, twitch, and when we do, we practise social distancing. And visits to any pub are off limits as well. But there’s always a hot cuppa to be made on our return, and the possibility if a glass of wine later, perhaps!
