Trying to brighten the day for those people isolated indoors during the Covid-19 pandemic.
I missed yesterday’s post. It was Father’s Day, and we generally try to celebrate such occasions with a meal at a local hostelry. That’s not possible at present, neither could we do it for Mother’s Day or either of our birthdays. We decided instead to treat ourselves at home. So, we took our morning walk and then came home to prepare the meal, which we accompanied with a bottle of Prosecco, and a coffee laced with scotch for me. Afterwards, we watched a DVD. By that time, I was not confident in my competence to place a meaningful post here, so my apologies for that.
Here’s today’s post.

If you get pleasure from this, please share it, so others can enjoy it, too. Thank you.
Beautiful old bridge, but ooo, that water!

Keeping our fingers crossed, Noelle, that our holiday booked for September to the Greek island of Kos will go ahead and give us the chance to be back beside that lovely blue sea again.

It sounds as though you had a lovely day. 🙂
Beautiful photos – I love pictures of the ocean (I love the ocean 🙂 )!

Me, too, Lynette. I have salt water in my veins, I think. I was especially taken by the mysterious look of the rocks as the waves washed over them and made them look almost as if they were a living creature.

I might, as well.
It’s a beautiful picture with the shades of blue and green and the white-foaming rocks.

Oh Stuart I am in love with the old railroad bridge and the old brick nestled so gorgeously amongst the trees. Simple majestic. Love to you and your sweetie. Hugs 🤗🌸Joni

Thanks Joni. It’s hard to believe the bridge was built around 1855. We stroll under it frequently as it leads to several of our well-loved walks from a trail that passes a small swampy area that has the look and feel of a prehistoric jungle!

That is crazy Stuart. That is such an amazing spot. So lush and beautiful. Have you taken photographs of the swamp. I bet you would make them talk in some black and whites. Sounds interesting. You and your sweetie have a blessed day and you two take good care. 🌺🌸❤️Love Joni

I probably have pictures of the ‘swamp’, Joni, among my 16,500 images. I’ll have to look. I’ll have to experiment with some black and white on those; good idea!
