Today’s Pictures: 11 June 20

A family enjoying a picnic on the forested slopes on the way to the Stresa Mottorone station in the mountains behind the town. The station where the cable cars arrive can be seen on top of the hill to the left of the central pine tree. We had walked down from that point to reach this place. Taken September 2018

Trying to brighten the day for those people isolated indoors during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rain was threatened for lunch time today, and it has arrived! Fortunately, we decided to take our walk this morning and managed to cover around 3 miles. Neither of us feeling on top of the world physically, but that quiet saunter through the trees is a great spiritual refresher. The sky was grey throughout, the light not good for photographs, and the purpose here is to share cheer, so the pics today are both from overseas trips we took in the past. Enjoy!

For the sea lovers; a shot of sundown over the harbour at Thassos Town on the Greek Island of Thassos. Taken July 2015

If you get pleasure from this, please share it, so others can enjoy it, too. Thank you.

    1. We thought so, too, when we saw them. But we were carrying only bottled water, and our walk would take us the best part of four hours, so we waved and carried on!
Hope your days is fine, too!
