Morning Sunlight
Shines the promised life
lighting on what will be
what soon will rise
from seed sown wild
In boughs that bear buds
green in sheer and pure
exuberance last season’s
flyers sprinkle shadows
And announce their joy
in procreating
their conjoined spirals
wrapped in rigid coats
From earth well wet with
nature’s tears at men’s abuse
spring fragile strengths made
bold from aged lore
And as the year begins
anew with life refreshed
what matters if the two-legs
fail whilst other life still thrives.
A lovely celebration of spring, Stuart. 🙂
