A small number of new characters have been created to go with the new locations and period. Most of the others appear in the first two volumes, as the new book continues the story, moving only a few years forward initially.
Location requires more research, and some informed speculation, but that’s going well at present. Also looking into various scientific areas that will impact on the new story: speculating about such developments a few hundred years into the future is fraught with danger, of course. But what’s life without a little risk?
I’ll be taking a short break after Sunday 24th, during which I’ll be offline completely, probably until mid-October. It’s an annual habit, where I remove myself from all online activity so I can recapture the wonderful spiritual and mental silence that was possible before the internet, mobile phones and constant connection to everyone and everything became de rigueur. It allows me to recharge my imagination and rest my constant alertness for change.
There’ll be scheduled posts during my absence: short pieces to tease. But nothing will have happened to the files, only within my imagination. When I’m back, I’ll begin the real work: the writing of the story.
By the way, I’m still offering free digital copies of Blood Red Dust and War Over Dust in return for honest reviews. If you’d like one, please click the ‘Contact’ tab, complete the short form with your email address and say whether you’d prefer a .Mobi, .PDF, or .ePub file and I’ll send it as soon as I can. Thank you.
