Halfway through the major re-write, and a good many story elements yet to change. That’s the result of working as a pantster: plot develops as the story is created, and that impacts on parts already written. It’s particularly influential on the denouement on this occasion, since I had a ‘light bulb’ moment during an interrupted sleep at the weekend. The resultant story changes will make the book much better, so I’m glad I took the time to think through the alterations. Now, all I have to do is cut the old stuff that’s no longer relevant and replace it with the new ideas. I reckon it’ll mean ditching 3 chapters and writing 4 new ones.

So, lots done, and lot’s more to accomplish. But the story continues, and so does the work.
