To Hull and Back 2015 Anthology, Edited by Christopher Fielden, Reviewed.

As I contributed one of the 26 stories contained within the covers of this collection, I feel I can only make my comments public here, on my blog. As a reviewer who has signed the True Review Pledge, it would be unethical for me to review it elsewhere. However, I feel I have a right to express my views on the other 25 stories.

This is an anthology of contest winners, highly commended and shortlisted entries to a contest with the theme of humour. As we’re all aware, humour is a very individual quality. What makes one man laugh hysterically might have another woman raging. What makes one woman bust a gut with guffaws might make another man scratch his bald head with puzzlement.

Here, in this collection, you’ll find humour to suit all tastes. Enjoyed Terry Pratchett, Bottom, the Young Ones, Bill Bryson, Camille Pagan? You’ll find something to tickle your chuckle muscles here, or, at least, make you smile.

There are stories here that had me laughing out loud, others that blend a message with their dark humour and others that left me with a satisfied smile. So, pick up a copy here and enjoy the read.
