Oddities Observed On Outings #18

In this continuing series I’m looking at things seen when out walking. Some of the objects will be familiar to certain readers, but many are likely to be unfamiliar to most. I’m presenting those that caught my attention through their incongruity, idiosyncrasy, or simply their odd placing or appearance.

This one was taken in a church graveyard in Essex, where my wife was seeking information on her distant relatives for our family tree. The bench under which this touching little token was lying was little used and relatively close to the wall it was facing. I spotted it as we walked past. A poignant little token of a sibling’s love for a brother gone from life.
