These pictures are from January, though not this year. I share them here to show #ourworldiswonderful.
This shot is from the Forest of Dean, taken on an afternoon walk in 2020 as mist slowly cleared from the valley where a small brook flows. Frost remained from the previous evening, dusting the leaves of wild flowers still in the shadow of the tall conifers.

Please comment, like, and share these to spread the joy of natural beauty to as many people as possible. It might persuade others to join the cause for nature and help fight the fast-approaching climate emergency and species extinctions.
These posts are weekly, but I also Tweet (unless Elon Musk makes the platform unusable for people who care about truth) one at the end of each day, with the hashtag #ourworldiswonderful, join me there if you wish.

Around 2,500 of my images are available here for whatever you fancy online, or as art quality prints to decorate your room, office, den, or for book covers, calendars, greetings cards, jigsaws, advertising, or whatever else you want. The small fee helps me maintain and buy the gear and software quality digital photography needs. Everybody should be able to afford decorative artwork; I dislike exclusivity-driven high prices.
A few of my pictures also appear in the Gallery.
I love the sunlight coming through the trees.

Right place at the right time, Ali. Other days, I’ve been approaching similar scenes only to have them dissolve before I reach the best spot for a picture!

Really a gorgeous picture. Love the sun’s rays as they weave through the branches. This should be a postcard.

Thanks, Tom. It’s available on licence to anyone who publishes postcards here: https://stuartaken.picfair.com/pics/010838931-misted-forest-no15
It would be great if a publisher agrees with you, Tom, and decides to do this!

Thank you, Lynette. I love the way sunlight through the mist, filtered by the branches, gives a sense of depth to the image.

Mist in the forest is often a matter of chance, Noelle. And it comes and goes sometimes in very short periods, so I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time for this shot.
