The daily words and picture series is hard to sustain if I’m to get on with my normal writing, so I’ve gone for a weekly one instead. Sometimes there’ll be accompanying words, other times the picture will stand alone. I hope you’ll continue to comment, like, and share so we get the idea of natural beauty to as many people as possible. You never know, it just might persuade some ditherers to join the cause and fight to prevent the coming climate emergency and species extinction.

Yes, Noelle, it would be very unwise to plunge into these waters. But a little further up the coast there are stretches of sandy beach (mostly black sand, as it’s volcanic) where you can wade into the warm waters of the Mediterranean and swim to your heart’s content.

That is such a cool picture! No swimming there but I can hear the waves and smell the salt spray.
