Thanks, Lynette. See, we do sometimes get snow here. But this is from last year. So far, this winter, we’ve seen 3 frosts and not a flake of snow. But we did experience a few moments of sleet the day before yesterday! Tomorrow, we’re expecting 12C again.

I wouldn’t mind a snowless winter! Usually Penticton is almost snowless, but this year there has been a big snow-melt-snow cycle at around 0°. After I leave the north, I think I will have seen enough snow for the rest of my life!

I can understand that, Lynette. I wouldn’t mind the absence of snow (I’ve never liked the cold) but it would be great if we could just have some ‘normal’ seasons again. But I doubt that’ll happen now within my lifetime.

That photo is great, but it makes me think of four words. Long underwear, and roaring fireplace. I’m not counting the word “and”.

Me, too, Tom. But I had to make do with my usual walking jeans, a good quality waterproof jacket, and my trusty walking boots, and thaw out when I returned home!
If we get any snow this year, I might have to start looking for some longjohns!

This is a winter wonderland – would love to take a walk there!

This was last winter, Noelle. At present, we have no snow at all. But our 5-mile walk included some bright spells after a long period of damp, dull weather.
