For some reason my mind thinks back to old WW2 movies with a bunch of commandos, under the cover of night, planting detonation charges to ‘blow the bridge’? No commandos visible in that photo, so I guess we’re safe. Have you ever crossed that bridge Stuart?

Metaphorically, I’ve crossed many, Glen. But this one, in Florence, I crossed a few times during our stay. It’s probably the most modern bridge in the city. Our hotel was the yellow block with three dark windows on the right hand side, so we often crossed the Arno on that bridge. But this shot was taken from the most ancient and famous Ponte Vecchio, which we avoided most of the time due to congestion from other tourists!
