What a lovely spot, seeped in history!

It certainly is, Noelle. The limestone pavement at the top of the Cove holds some very rare fauna, too!

It was early evening, Noelle. We were walking up to a beauty spot in the Yorkshire Dales, Malham Cove. It has a 300 foot limestone cliff forged by a waterfall during the ending of the ice age. The remaining stream now runs out from the bottom of the cliff as it has sunk underground during the intervening millennia. This is the stream. The evening sunlight was reflected from the cliffs, causing the gold, and the overhead sky provided the blue. It was a picture begging to be taken.
