#PictureOfTheDay and #writingprompt: 20/Nov/21

Pictures to inspire words and images. Perhaps a poem, painting, story, play, novel, drawing, memoire, essay, sculpture, or a new photograph? Up to you. Or just enjoy the pictures. My images are untitled to avoid direction. But, if you want it, the title, not always helpful, is here.

Using the prompt? Post a link to your work, or the work itself, in the comments section, if you wish. If you post elsewhere, please link to this post, so more people see both our creations.

Get those creative juices flowing and have some fun.

Occasionally, inspired by the image, I’ll write here:

  1. It is interesting that they have handles places close to one side. It made me wonder if they were meant to be carried on one’s back with straps or a harness. They are made of clay that has bits of stone not smoothed out as they would be by a professional. Definitely not decorative.

    1. They stand in the garden of a neighbour of one of the footpaths that gives access to the forest, Brenda. But there’s a fence now in between that space and the path, so they’re no longer visible. My guess is they’re a product of a local potter and made to look ‘artisan’ as garden decoration. I don’t think they’re old but designed to look that way.
