OMG, it’s huge and impressive. A different take on an angel!

It’s certainly a big beast, Noelle. It stands close to a main road, so is seen by many passing by in their cars.

It’s Antony Gormley’s ‘Angel of the North’, and stand 20 metres (65 feet) tall, and, yes, that’s a footpath leading up, wide enough for a couple of people to approach together without feeling crowded.

I think I have seen this picture before, but for the life of me, can’t remember where and what it represents. It appears that it is much taller than it is because of the angle of the shot. It is a great shot, and the road up to it probably is a foot path which makes it appear to be larger. The clouds set the sculpture off nicely. Thanks for posting.
