Today’s #PictureOfTheDay and #writingprompt: 23/Sept/21

Pictures to entertain, bring joy, and, if you wish, inspire you to create with words or images. Whether that’s a poem, story, play, novel, memory, essay, painting, drawing, sculpture, or another photograph is up to you. Please don’t feel obliged: you can just enjoy the pictures. My image is untitled to avoid directing anyone. If you need to know, the title is here.

I’d love to know if you use the pictorial prompt. You can post a link to your work, or the work itself, in the comments section, if you want. If you use my image, please credit me in the form of a link to this post. That way, more people will see both our creations.

The idea is to have fun and get those creative juices flowing.

From time to time, I’ll include something I’ve written, inspired by the image.

            1. If you get the chance again, Joni, you should try either spring or autumn – summer can be a bit crowded and very hot! The local people and the food are great.

              1. Thank you Stuart. The people are lovely. We started in Madrid, went to Granada, Sevilla,and Costa Del Sol. Everyone we met was so kind. I loved Spain. You and Valerie have a great weekend. Love and hugs, Joni ❤️

                1. Ah, Spain. We’ve been there only once, when Kate was just 5 years old. Met a lovely Belgian couple with a boy the same age and they played together so well.
                  We took a trip to the Alhambra; remarkable architecture with a history of abuse within those spectacular walls.

    1. Thanks, Lynette. It’s one of a series I took while lying on a sunbed on a Greek island. The fanning shadow really caught my eye and changed as the cloud moved across the sky.
