Thanks, Joni. These archaeology students were engaged in some delicate maintenance work on exposed ruins in Rome, doing essential work to keep what is left of the ancient buildings safe from the environment of a busy city!
They probably wished they were alone but can’t complain not a bad gig in Rome. It was very interesting my friend. By the way today was my yesterday was my last surgical procedure. I have had four with no pain medication at a pain clinic. They burned my nerves while watching on tv monitor. I asked him how men did with this procedure and he said no so great or something like that. The insurance makes them do two test runs which I thought I would vomit it hurt so badly. Yesterday was the last. A radio frequency oblation from c3 to c6. All done, after a month in theory I should be with out of pain. Yea!!!!!! You two have done some amazing travels. So happy for you two. Hugs 🤗
They seemed oblivious to the few tourists who passed this spot, Joni. I think they were so engaged in the task, they were unaware of us.
Ouch! hat surgery sounds like torture. Let’s hope they do the trick and leave you free from pain. As you know, I don’t do the prayer thing, but my thoughts are with you.
Wow cool post Stuart. I have never seen a dig in progress. Very interesting. Hugs Joni

It took a minute to tell whether they were tearing it apart or putting it back together. Cool picture.

They’re doing maintenance, Brenda. Keeping it from falling into further ruin.

It’s on Rome’s Palatine Hill, Lynette, a very expansive and fascinating area of ruins and remains in central Rome.

Interesting place, eh, Lynette? We could have spent days investigating this site, if we’d had the time!
