Nice contrast between the different colors!

It was that contrast that drew my eye to this, Brenda. The bright yellow on the dark, damp, late autumn forest floor. And, from that shot I went on take a whole series. Serendipity.

Now that I’m back on the north, those are coming soon …

Back up north, Lynette? And just in time to welcome that lovely winter cold, eh? Keep warm and safe.

Thank you. Yes, I am back in the north. There’s been rain but the last few days we have had really lovely weather. Fingers crossed for a nice slow descent into winter …

I’m not familiar with the twenty word stories, Joni, so I can’t help with that one.
Sounds like you’ve had only a single jab for Covid. Here, they recommend two, the second between 8 and 12 weeks after the first. We’ve had both.
The new book, ‘An Excess Of…’ is due to be launched on 25th October. I’m awaiting the cover from the publisher, so I can ‘approve’ it. The cover designer has used my suggested rough design to form a refined picture, so I’m looking forward to seeing the finished article. I’ll post it on here as soon as I receive it, of course. Ad you’re right. My publisher is a really great guy, and very busy – he organises an annual ‘fantasy, gaming, and scifi show here in the UK, called Fantasticon. I usually attend and hold an onstage chat with other authors, and spend some time signing books and even helping out on the book store. He has also moved into producing board games, having invented one; The Gorgon’s Loch is a real challenge, but I’m not personally passionate about board games.

Stuart your photograph of the grouping of leaves was beautiful. Is your fall coming already? Hope you two are doing well. I am hearing very bad things about the ability of this new strain of Covid. Will you and Valerie be able to get booster shots? Please take care of each other. Love and hugs to you both. ❤️🤗Joni

Thank you, Joni. Autumn not here yet – be a few more weeks before the leaves start turning. The pictures I’m placing in this series don’t follow the seasons, they’re quite random in terms of when they were taken and what they illustrate. In September, I intend to make the series into a ‘story prompt’ thread, to see if I can help writers to create.
Covid cases are back on the increase here, too. The Delta strain seems more infective. We’ve both had two jabs. The government is awaiting the outcome of research to see whether it’s worth including another Covid jab with the annual ‘flu jab we get. But I suspect that won’t be brought in until October at the earliest. Do you have booster jabs available at home?
You two keep safe and stay well.

I have had problems following those. I don’t understand what to do. I enjoy the twenty word stories for example but don’t get how to follow.
I have had my jab already by the health department. They have been so nice. I was sick the day after with a temp 3 degrees above normal and a horrible headache but back to normal and feeling blessed that I was able to get it. I hope you two are able to get it as well. When does your book come out? I hope I haven’t missed that. You sure worked hard on this book. I am glad you were able to get an editor that you felt understood your message more clearly. Sounds like you have a pretty nice publisher. Sending you both a bundle of hugs. 🤗🤗🤗❤️ You two be careful too.
