Today’s Pictures: 14 Apr 21

‘I am not deep, but I am very wide, and it takes time to walk round me.’
Honoré de Balzac.

Daily shots from our walks in the local forest will continue here for a little while longer. And I’m adding another from my collection of pictures to show more of the world and its wonders. I may replace this series with a series of single pictures from my files, once it has run its course.
If shared on social media, more people will be able to enjoy the natural beauty of our world, so please do that if you can. Thank you. We might also restore a bit of love and respect for nature and help slow the damage we’ve inflicted on our world.

All photographs here are my own, unless otherwise credited. More of my pictures can be found here. And a small sample of my work lives under the ‘Gallery’ tab, top of this page.

    1. That’s great, Lynette. I was tempted to try to match the quotes to photos, but decided that would involve too much time. So this is serendipity. I do like the metaphor within the quote, though.

  2. Another wonderful path in your woods that I walk with you, in my mind. We have thought-provoking conversations and enjoy the sunlight when it peeks through the branches. Then we admire the lighthouse as we sail out for a day on the ocean.

    1. Thanks, Brenda.
This is a path we use quite frequently, as it leads to a number of different destinations. But I want to know how you’ve been listening to our conversations: we often discuss thought-provoking topics!
Yes, the lighthouse is a picturesque landmark for the many yachts and pleasure boats in this area.

    1. This shot was taken from a small ferry, Noelle. It was a lovely trip, from St. Maxime to St Tropez, across a beautiful blue Mediterranean under a wonderful blue sky!
