Today’s Pictures: 10 Feb 21

‘Walking is the great adventure, the first meditation, a practice of heartiness and soul primary to humankind. Walking is the exact balance between spirit and humility.’   Gary Snyder

With the daily shot from my local forest walks, I’m including a shot of the wider world, not always entirely ‘natural’, to satisfy those who love to see water in the pictures.

Share on social media so we’ll reach more people stuck indoors due to Covid-19. Who knows, between us, we might also restore some love and respect for nature and slow down the damage we inflict on our world? Thank you.

Like my pictures? You’ll find lots more in my professional gallery, here. A small selection’s also available via the ‘Gallery’ tab at the top of this page.

    1. Chilly here, too, Irene. But with a spot of sunshine, even February can be bright here. The coastal shot was taken in warmer weather, September, during a week of long walks along a coast noted for its outstanding natural beauty.

  2. Oh I love both photographs my friend. Beautiful rivers just lovely. It reminds me a place I use to go to hike in KY on my own. Sending love and hugs my friends.❤️🤗❤️🤗

    1. The river shot was taken from across the River Wye, which flows along at the bottom end of the village, Joni. It’s not a walk we do often, as the river bank can get rather muddy when the river overflows its banks after heavy rain in Wales. But it’s a lovely walk when dry.
