It is quite startling, isn’t it? As I mentioned to Denise (Momzilla), I’ve always been fascinated by the way plant life seems able to sustain itself with no apparent means of support.

I’ve always been fascinated at the way plant life is so persistent that it can, apparently, not only exist but thrive even when there’s no obvious source of nutrients.
