Creative #Writing #Contests Table Updated

On the 1st of each month I remind followers of this blog the creative writing contest table has been updated. (I update it several times every month, but this reminder comes just once!) If you’d like this monthly reminder as an email to motivate you, please click the ‘Follow this blog’ button at the top of the right-hand column and provide your details on the small form. Neither I, nor WordPress, will spam you, and you’ll receive an informative email each time I post.

You can access the table through the ‘Resources’ page, here.

Many contests are free to enter and offer great prizes, mostly of cash. Some seek unpublished or beginner writers. The table currently offers contests with entry dates from April 2020 to February 2021.

It’s best to submit entries in plenty of time to win spectacular prizes and real kudos. Please ignore moans about ‘paid for’ contests: while there are occasional scams masquerading as legit contests, most competitions are run by voluntary organisations with little money. Entry fees provide prizes and sometimes pay judges; usually professional people in the writing world whose time is precious.

Imagine the joy when you win! The cash and the kudos. And it won’t hurt your CV.

The table updates every time I save it, so whenever you visit, it’s as current as it is on my PC. You can access it by clicking here. Have fun and get some cash for your writing.

I spend hours of my precious time finding and updating information, and I pay some sources for information I pass on freely to you. If you’d like to help me keep producing this resource, click the green ‘Buy me a Coffee’ button in the right-hand column of any tabbed page. Surprisingly, it’ll cost you the price of a coffee, or a little more if you’re feeling generous. Thank you very much!
