This continuing series of posts depicts our beautiful world, encouraging people to share them and maybe even help save our unique home planet from human carelessness and indifference.
Today’s photo was taken during our holiday to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, last year, on the lovely Greek island of Zakynthos.

We’d walked from our comfortable hotel down to the shore to enjoy the sunshine on the beach and pop into a small coastal taverna we’d discovered on a previous walk. Great place to enjoy a local beer for me and a cold Coke for Valerie.
The land on the horizon is the nearby island of Kefalonia.
We’d bought a good map of the island before we left England and that allowed us to walk quite extensively during our holiday. We’re not intending to fly again, for environmental reasons, so that holiday was probably our last overseas. Still, there’s plenty of Britain we have yet to visit.

I post every Saturday here, but also share a different picture of natural beauty at the end of most days, with the hashtag #ourworldiswonderful, on FaceBook, Threads, Instagram, and BlueSkySocial.
I’ll be posting more pictures of Zakynthos during this month as above. Join me on those social media platforms, and on LinkedIn.

Hi Stuart, I just read this article and thought you might enjoy it too. I plan to plant some trees. Cheers.

Thanks for that link, Lynette. I’ve planted all the trees I can in my small garden. But we definitely need to do more communally to replace those billions of trees we’ve lost to wildfires.
I’ve shared the post.

Hi Stuart, just so you know, I wasn’t trying to suggest that you should plant trees. It’s me who needs to do that!

Oh, I realised that, Lynette. But I thought I might encourage by example for other readers.

Beautiful! It looks like you were in an uncrowded area, also. Lovely.

That’s right, Lynette. On our walks and on these isolated beaches, we rarely met another soul. And that’s how we prefer it!

And that water will even be warm enough for me, Noelle! In fact, I make a point of swimming in the Mediterranean whenever we travel there. Lovely!
