Irregular Stories, by The Irregular Writers Collective: #BookReview.

12 short stories, varying in topic, treatment and length. Here you’ll find the surreal, the complex, the bizarre, and the simply unclassifiable. And that, I imagine, is the intention.

These stories are definitely not ‘regular’ and refuse to be placed into pre-defined boxes.
There is a literary element here, but you’ll also find some playfulness. Some will tax your mind, some will possibly confuse, and some confound until the final sentence reveals all.

I read this collection under the sun, by the pool, on a holiday in Crete. Enjoyed the variety in tone and mood, and the many different characters I encountered.

There’s a note on the back cover, ‘Get ready for an exciting journey with the Irregulars…’, which I think accurately sums up the anthology. Enjoy!
