#ScenicSaturday 17th February 2024:

This continuing series depicts our beautiful world, encouraging viewers to share them and help save our unique home from human carelessness and indifference.

Today’s photo shows sunlight fanning through the faint February mist in a place we look on as our ‘magical’ forest in the Forest of Dean. The spruce and pines here form such a dense canopy that little undergrowth thrives, allowing us to walk unhindered by bracken and bramble briars with no need of paths. The place carries an air that invests it with a special quality to make it somewhere where imaginative speculation thrives.

I post these every Saturday here, but also post a different picture of natural beauty at the end of most days, with the hashtag , on FaceBook, and on the newer social media platform, BlueSkySocial, which no longer requires and invite. Join me there, and on LinkedIn, where you can comment, share, and like as you wish.

If you want illustrations for any purpose, you’ll find 2,500 large HD images of mine, among several million others, on Picfair, which can be bought as digital files, or as art quality prints on paper or canvas to decorate your walls. My portion of the small fee helps maintain this site. Thank you.
