Addendum, posted today, 27th February 2024: Having had some feedback, it seems sensible for me to post any future pieces I place on Medium to this site as well. Different audience with different links. And not everyone wants to pay to belong to Medium, which, by the way, is actually worth every penny, I’ve found. So, look out for future posts here.

Thanks for that, Lynette. As the first one, it was a bit of an experiment to see whether people would be able to see it on Medium. Now I know it doesn’t work for all, I’ll post future ones here as well as on the other platform. It seems different readers have different experiences with Medium and I can’t test the links myself, as I’m a member of that platform.

Just so you know, in my comment above I was referring to your picture. I clicked on the link you provided and read the first bit of your piece but wasn’t able to finish it because Medium wanted a subscription. Are you able to publish your pieces on WP as well? Or is it that you’re wanting to focus your writing on one platform?
