My photos here show our beautiful world. I hope to encourage viewers to help save it from human carelessness. Today, I bring you a glorious sunset, taken from my study window. The fiery sky inspired me to capture it in the few moments it existed. We are engaged by sunsets more than any other daylight sky. Is it the warmth of the colours, the reduction of the landscape to mere silhouettes, or is there a deeper, more ancient, subconscious element at work here?

I post every Saturday here, but also post a picture of natural beauty at the end of each day, with the hashtag #ourworldiswonderful, on FaceBook and Twitter. Join me there and comment, share and like if you wish.

It ain’t easy! I’d love to be able to reply with ‘discipline’ but that would be only almost true. I use the time gazing out there as a stimulus to creativity. At least, that’s the excuse I’m giving today!
