A reasonable question, Lynette, bearing in mind the apparent freshness of the young oak tree. But it was actually taken in early November last year. It was that fresh green springing from the leaf-strewn floor that caught my eye. And, I’m pleased to report, the young oak is thriving.

That’s lovely, Suzette. It’s not quite autumn here yet (although our meteorological autumn does start tomorrow!) but I thought I’d try a bit of mental preparation for things to come.
