I like this shot very much! It feels serene, and peaceful. It looks like the boat may be a fishing boat or a Crab or Lobster boat. I love seeing the moon and the bird in full flight. it was a beautiful shot, and if you say “the right time” you are right, but it takes a professional to gauge what is the right time. Thanks for posting.

Thank you. I think you’re right about the boat, Brenda. Probably crab/lobster fishing. I just had to wait for the gull to fly into the right space to make this picture.

Thanks, Noelle. The walk on which I took this was at the end of a warm day in Lyme Regis. The day trippers had all gone and the seafront was peaceful and the dusk sky serene.

Unless you like crowds and don’t mind queueing to park your car, Noelle, I’d avoid the usual holiday season, especially when the schools are closed. We were there in June (2019) and it was still pretty busy! By mid evening, most day trippers have gone home, though.
