Definitely, Noelle. It’s above the main promenade, with an unobstructed view of the bay. And not a lot of passing pedestrian traffic!

I don’t know if it was just a hazy day, but the blue of the sky was a beautiful shade of blue. I like the “lamp,” and imagined a not garish light but more of romantic light. A walk at twilight would be good. Thanks for posting.

Bright sunshine, Brenda, but I deliberately enhanced the contrast to achieve the effect here. Can’t tell you what the light from the lamp is like, as we were down at the seafront only once at dusk, but not at this end of the sea wall.

Mine, too, Joni. I’ve been a little caught up in various events here, but managed to get a gander at your blog today and posted a link on Twitter to your recent interview. Nice pic of you, too!

Thank you Stuart. It is funny how busy one can stay when retired. It amazes me. I saw that and thanked you. You are a great friend to have. Sending you love. 🌹

I’m a trustee for a local charity, Joni. We hadn’t met at all as a committee for over a year due to the Covid pandemic. But we had a meeting the other day, and now I’m busy with that. Also, the local Gas board is renewing the pipes along our street and that’s causing a bit of disruption here. Yesterday, they managed to break through a water main and flooded the street (fortunately, we’re at the top of the hill, so it ran away from us. But we were entertained by a gang if workers at 23:00 who came to repair the damage, right outside the front of our house. Arc lights and a powerful pump, 3 heavy vehicles with engines running. We decided there was no point going to be until they’d finished, which they did quite quickly, half an hour past midnight. And we moved to the village for a quiet life!
You and Scott keep safe and stay well.

I love reading your responses Stuart they are put together like lovely short stories. I bet it was nice to interact with your friends. Wow sounds like an awfully big ruckus outside. I am glad they got it done. I hope they don’t have to do any more digging. Thank you for always writing such lovely letters to me. I can picture you both there. Sending much love dear friend. Give Valerie my best. ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗Joni
