‘As she walked she lifted her knees high, her feet far out in front of her, like a drum majorette on parade.’
Nancy Huddleston Packer
Daily shots from our walks in the local forest will continue for the moment. I’ll include another photograph from my collection to provide a wider view of the world and its wonders.
Share on social media so more people stuck indoors due to Covid-19 can enjoy our natural beauty. Between us, we might also restore some love and respect for nature and help slow the damage we inflict on our world. Thank you.

Photographs on this site are my own, unless otherwise credited. More of my pictures can be seen here. And there’s a small sample of my work under the ‘Gallery’ tab at the top of this page.
Outstanding photos!

The song “Country Road” comes to mind looking at this picture, and the other makes me long for a fishing pole. Love your posts.

That’s great, Brenda. We’ve recently been walking a lot more on the ‘better’ tracks, including some of the forest roads used by Forestry England, as many of our usual animal tracks have become too muddy to use in safety, especially on the steep slopes. So there’ll be a few more of these rural byways in future posts.
I’ve never fished, but I know it’s a popular pasttime. One of my friends used to spend nights fishing on the shore of the North Sea, a practice I considered lunatic, considering the prevailing winds and the usual cool temperatures, but he seemed to love it!

Making you yearn for the warmth of the Med, eh, Lynette?

Oh Stuart! M and I like to go to Dominican Republic for a warm break from the north; that photo reminds me of it so much. I’m definitely yearning for warm waters and sun.

Shouldn’t be too long now, hopefully!

Thank you, Joni.
The editing, 1st one, which was a relatively general look at the whole book, is done, and the book is back with the publisher. I expect to receive a ‘line edit’ in the next few days, which will require a more detailed bit of work for me.
You and Scott keep safe and stay well, and have a good time!
