#ScenicSaturday 15th June 2024:

This continuing series of posts depicts our beautiful world, encouraging viewers to share them and help save our unique home from human carelessness and indifference.

Today’s photo shows a small stream running through the trees and hills of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area of great beauty that is protected from development. It is farmed and lived in, but industry is only permitted if it in no way harms the environment and habitats currently preserved. It is a place where nature is allowed to hold sway for much of the landscape and where what farming takes place is required to fit in with nature rather than damage it. A great scheme.

I post every Saturday here, but also share a different picture of natural beauty at the end of most days, with the hashtag #ourworldiswonderful, on FaceBook, Threads, Instagram, and on the newer social media platform, BlueSkySocial. Join me there, and on LinkedIn.

        1. I should be used to cold, Noelle. I was raised on a clifftop overlooking the North Sea and used to walk to school barefoot along the sands! I’ve obviously become ‘soft’ in my mature years!
