Descending Cat Bells
Been following this series from day one? Then you’ll know this is the seventh post. It relates to our return walk on our fourth day in the area. New to the series? You’ll find links to earlier posts at the end.
The descent from the summit of Cat Bells is around 1215 feet (about 370 metres) in terms of the drop. In terms of distance, it really depends on which route you select, but our walk back was just short of 2 miles (3 km).
The main path back down is easy to spot once you’re at the summit. But you need to know different routes lead away from there. What you seek is the path that immediately tends downward, to the left. Others take you to different destinations. Click here to continue to read this free of charge on Medium

Thank you, Lynette. We don’t have the spectacular scenery that surrounds you in Canada, but the English Lake District is definitely a place for landscape photographers. And the walking is lovely, too.

Loving this series, Stuart! 🏔️ And to answer your question Medium works perfectly fine for me, the link makes it easy enough to follow along. Whatever setup is easiest for you on your end!

Thank you, Khadija. Just out of curiosity, were you able to ‘clap’ for the post at all?

Yes, of course! Medium has a “clap” option, so I made sure to use it. 👏
