Today’s Pictures: 21 Feb 21

A riverside walk.

‘Walking is also an ambulation of mind.’  Gretel Ehrlich

With the daily shot from my local forest, I’m including another shot, not always entirely ‘natural’, to provide a wider view of the world and its wonders.

On a snowy walk.

If you share on social media, we’ll reach more people stuck indoors due to Covid-19. And, between us, we might restore some love and respect for nature and slow down the damage we inflict on our world. Thank you.

    1. It was the one sunny day we had while the snow lay, Lynette. The rest of the time it was dull here.
Valerie and I often walk in companionable silence on our walks. At other times, we set the world to rights, or discuss nature and the environment. Our walks are real spiritual renewal sessions, surrounded by natural beauty. I often come up with ideas for stories when out in the woods.

    1. The river is full of fish, Brenda, and swans, ducks, geese and herons swim it regularly.
We came on the freshwater lake in Crete by accident as we were on our way back from another walk. It’s quite popular with swimmers, and the water was lovely and warm!

  2. Hello dear friend, we have been on a trip looking at houses in the mountains of North Carolina. I am so behind on my reading. Hope all is well with you. I don’t know if you will have time when we get back which will be today to consider some dates to do our collaborative post. It is always a pleasure to see pictures of the forest and I love the last picture particularly as well. Hope you both are healthy and enjoying your weekend. Sending you both love and hugs Joni 💕❤️🤗

    1. Hi Joni, I also had a break from online activity, only for yesterday, when we decided to have one of those lovely days of doing nothing together. Hope your trip was a success. We made a couple of tours when lookjing for the home we now occupy, and this place we live in was the last property we looked at, so a nice touch of serendipity.
Let me have your proposed dates. As long as we avoid a Wednesday and a Saturday, we should be fine.
