Today’s Pictures: 9 Feb 21

‘A morning walk sets us out on the right foot for the day.’     Terri Guillemets

With the daily shot from my local forest walks, I’m including a shot of the wider world, not always entirely ‘natural’, to satisfy those who love to see water in the pictures.

Share on social media so we’ll reach more people stuck indoors due to Covid-19. Who knows, between us, we might also restore some love and respect for nature and slow down the damage we inflict on our world? Thank you.

Like my pictures? You’ll find lots more in my professional gallery, here. A small selection’s also available via the ‘Gallery’ tab at the top of this page.

  2. Sorry, you have to wait so long, but I envy you the walks and the amazing scenery. Our Medical Association Noah called us and scheduled us at a drive-through and at the same time they scheduled us for exactly one month later.

    1. There is some conflict here in UK regarding the timing of 2nd vaccine jabs, Brenda. The initial research showed the 2nd should be around 3 weeks after the first, but the 1st gives up to 90% protection, so the Gov’t is trying to get as many people protected in as short a time as possible. There is now some research to support this approach, suggesting a longer spell between might actually be even more effective. So, hopefully, we’ll all be better protected and the lockdown may be ended a little earlier than originally thought.

      1. I don’t think the UK is wrong or that the US is right. I think we should get as many people vaccinated as possible as fast as possible. But we are not in charge and am grateful that hubby and I have the first shot. Maybe in the not too distant future, we can hug our kids.

        1. Each nation is bound to have its own approach, especialy when the science changes so quickly. We’re in a new situation globally, and each country will act according to the needs as percieved by its leaders, Brenda. We, as citizens, can only go along with that and hope they get it at least close to right. I suspect it’ll be a long time before international travel is resumed in a way that’ll allow us to hug our daughter over in Australia, but it’ll come with time.

        1. Good luck with the second shot, Brenda. I’ve had my 1st, but won’t get my 2nd for another 10 weeks or so, as that’s the way the UK Gov’t has decided to tackle the issue. It’ll be great to have a little more freedom once as many people as possible have been vaccinated.
