Today’s Pictures: 6 Feb 21

‘We all walk in the dark and each of us must learn to turn on his or her own light.’     Earl Nightingale

With the daily shot from my local forest walks, I’m including a shot of the wider world, not always entirely ‘natural’, to satisfy those who love to see water in the pictures.

Share on social media so we’ll reach more people stuck indoors due to Covid-19. Who knows, between us, we might also restore some love and respect for nature and slow down the damage we inflict on our world? Thank you.

Like my pictures? You’ll find lots more in my professional gallery, here. A small selection’s also available via the ‘Gallery’ tab at the top of this page.

    1. Mostly, these few houses are isolated and have been in their locations for many years. One of them, in ‘normal’ times, runs residential courses on all sorts of ecological and art topics. I guess it would be a lovely location for such activities. Others are occupied by elderly couples who have lived in the forest all their lives. You never see any of the properties up for sale, so I suspect they are always passed on to other family members.

    1. It’s a very quiet byway, Lynette. Used only by motors from a couple of homes in the forest and the Forestry workers when engaged in cropping. So, yes, usually very peaceful.

  2. John Denver put it so well, eh, Brenda?
The sea is at a place called Flamborough Head, a white chalk headland sticking out into the North Sea off the coast in East Yorkshire. Lovely sands. And a bit further up the coast is a large bird sanctuary where many seabirds breed.
