With the daily shot from my local forest walks, I’m including another shot of the wider world, not always entirely ‘natural’, to satisfy those who love to see some water in the pictures.

I agree, Amleta. We feel very fortunate to be here, especially during this Covid lockdown, as we are able to walk in the forest every day from our front door.

I wanted to comment further on how much this photo looks painting-like. I’ve been struck by that – despite the snow, it has a very warm quality.

Love the trees dressed for a party. The first snowfall was always more beautiful than later when the branches were laden with heavy icy snow. Of course, you know we all love the water scenes.

We don’t get heavy snowfalls here, Brenda, so there’s rarely any ‘laden’ branches. But that gentle blanketing does bring light to the views.

We get snow only rarely, Noelle, and it tends not to last, so it’s a matter of getting out there and capturing it while it lies. Glad it appealed.
