Today’s Picture: 12 Oct 20

Here’s another shot from those I took on a visit to Cannop Ponds a few days ago. Enjoy!

If you’re visiting here, please be generous to those who can’t escape their own four walls at present, and share this widely with them on social media, so they can enjoy it. It will also reach more people and hopefully remind them what a wonderful place this world is. Perhaps that might help restore some love and respect for nature and slow down our destructive urge to ruin the environment. Thank you.

  2. Beautiful Stuart and I love your message at the end. I hope we all start taking better care of our world. We certainly do need to take better care of the USA. Love you both. 🤗💕❤️😘Joni

      1. Oh thank you so much Stuart, you two are very kind. These are troubled times. We are both concerned about what might happen with the elections. You may think I am nuts but I worry there could actually be some type of civil war.

You two have an amazing day. Scott and I will be getting back to your book today. I like to read a good book till I am done but he schedules his day. He is much more disciplined then I am. Love ❤️ y’all. Joni

        1. I don’t think you’re nuts at all, Joni. The more I see of the moron Trumps’ supporters, the more I become concerned for the rest of the USA. We can only hope Americans vote with some sort of rationality and get rid of the man who is the cause of most of the current troubles in your country.
I’m with you on reading. But I rarely manage to fulfil that aim, and these days I take a lot longer to readf a book than I used to. As a teenager, I regularly read three books a day, now I find I’m likely to take 3 weeks to read one book!
          Enjoy the read!

          1. Wow, thanks for saying that about Trump. You know I feel like so many people pick one issue and choose a candidate based on one thing. I try to look at the overall record. Can you imagine where he would be if he were African American (given our Country’s tendency for racism-which I find deplorable, and given acts considered to be treasonous? I try hard not to get into my feelings about politics on line too much but seriously – we are affecting the rest of the world just by not giving promised monies towards slowing down climate change. I will stop now, I am sorry but I feel we have an obligation to the rest of the world. Bigotry has also exploded in our Country yet again and I honestly feel sick when I think of how far backwards we have gone.

See I need to read your great book and get my mind off of this world. Your imagination is amazing and a great distraction. Signing off – I promise no more political rants from this friend. ❤️

            1. I agree with every word, Joni. Rant accepted with pleasure. It’s very hard to avoid letting off steam in these dark days, so please don’t worry about that.
Thanks for your kind words. Enjoy the read!

    1. I do, too, Evelina. This was taken at the very end of summer/beginning of autumn. One or two of the trees are just starting to turn here in UK.
