Today’s Picture: 17 Aug 20

The Acropolis at Lindos on the Greek island of Rhodes, seen from a walk along the coast. Photo taken in October 2017.

If you’re a visitor here, perhaps you’ll be generous to those who are trapped indoors at present, and share this widely, so others can enjoy it? Thank you.

    1. There’s a steep climb, up many steps, to get up the Acropolis. You can take a donkey, if you wish. We walked. The view from the top is spectacular, and the restoration work done on the acropolis itself is very well done.

  2. Oh Stuart the sparkle you got off the gorgeous water looks like millions of fairies in flight. So beautiful my dear friend. Thank you for sharing. You two take care of each other’s. Love 💕 Joni 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️

    1. Thank you, Joni. The walk followed a short ride in a glass-bottomed boat from Pefkos. The skipper stopped the boat at one point and indicated the rocks we could see through the bottom of the boat. He then proceeded to tell us that ‘hundreds’ of boats had sunk in the spot! Greek humour, eh?
