      1. Oh wow even another cool thing about where you live. You certainly wouldn’t like living in the US cities. When I look at your beautiful photographs of the village and the hills, I think of the ladies doing Tie Chi in “The Calendar Girls”. I love that movie. It looks like it could have been filmed where you live. Have a lovely Sabbath. Love ❤️ you two. Joni

        1. We both dislike cities, Joni. Even towns are too big for us, though we lived in one for the years our daughter was growing up so she’d have plenty of social contacts.
          Re the Calendar Girls, we lived for a while in the Yorkshire Dales, in a place not far from where that excellent movie was set.

          1. Oh my goodness, Stuart another gorgeous area. We would and still may move to the mountains if things work out the way we want. I am happy for you two what a blessing that you enjoy each other’s company so much and both love nature. We too are blessed that way as well. We both have a lot to be thankful for too. Love 💕 Joni

            1. My step father was a photographer, Joni. His work was weddings, but his hobby interest was birds and butterflies, and he could name many of those. It’s from him I derived my early love of the natural world. My mum was a gifted painter in oils, but never had the opportunities to take advantage of her talent. It’s from her I derive my ‘eye’ for a picture, I think.
              Hope you two get to the mountains. It’s wonderful when partners appreciate the same things in life; make the most of it.

        1. We actually live further up the valley, Lynette, so our walk to the hairdresser’s is from the other direction, but still a vast improvement on those we had to take in our last home town!
